Though he never mentioned affection to her, she could have a faint consciousness of a fierce feeling of love in the shyness of his eyes. She hinted to him several times, but he remained a dull fool who was anxious to open the mouth. Three years later, she got engaged with another boy eventually though she still missed him even on the eve of the engagement.
"If he says those words, I'm willing to go with him." Her thoughts were besieged by the chaos of blessing from the relatives and friends. However, he said nothing but with a dim feeling of gloom in his eyes.
