One day a crow finds a piece of meat. She picks it up in her mouth and flies to a tall tree. She is just going to eat the meat when a fox sees her.
一天，一只乌鸦发现了一块肉。她把肉叼在嘴里，飞向一棵大树。她正要吃肉时，一只狐狸看见了她。
He comes and stands under the tree and says, “How pretty you are! You must be the prettiest bird in the world,”
狐狸过来站在树底下说：“你真漂亮！你一定是世界上最漂亮的鸟了。”
The crow is very pleased by these words. Then the fox speaks again, “I can see your pretty face, but I have not heard your voice. Why don’t you sing a song?”
乌鸦听到这些话很高兴。然后狐狸又说：“我能看到你漂亮的脸庞，但是无法听到你的声音。你为什么不唱首歌呢？”
This makes the crow very happy. She opens her mouth and begins to sing.
As she opens her mouth, she drops the meat.
这番话让乌鸦非常开心。她张开嘴开始唱歌。当她张开嘴的时候，肉掉了下去。
The fox picks up the meat at once and goes away with it.
狐狸立刻捡起肉离开了。
Kind words are not always as kind as they seem.
善意的话并不总是像它们看起来那样善意。
