说话者，给听话者，提出两个或两个以上可能的答案，供对方选择。选择其一或根据具体情况来回答，不能用Yes、No回答
特点：前部分用升调、后一部分用降调；被选择部分用or连接（名词、代词、形容词……)
1、一般疑问句+or not【一者的两种情况】 Is she leaving or not? She is leaving
She isn't leaving
Are you ready or not？ 你准备好没有？
Do you like the film or not?你喜不喜欢这部电影？
Are you coming or not？ 你来还是不来？
Are you a doctor or a teacher?你是医生还是教师？
Does he like this or that？她喜欢这个还是喜欢那个？
Is that coffee yours or hers？这咖啡是你的还是她的？
Are you going by train or by plane？你坐火车去还是坐飞机去？

3、特殊疑问句+选项A or 选项B【两者或两者以上的选择】 Where are youv from,Beijing or Shanghai？I'm from Beijing
Neither【表示两者的否定】,I'm from Guangzhou
Which would you like, tear or coffee？你想要哪样，茶还是咖啡？
Who runs faster, you or Tom？你和汤姆谁跑得快一点？
When shall we leave, today or tomorrow?我们什么时候离开，今天还是明天？
How long did he live there, five years or ten years?他在那儿住多久了，是5年还是10年？
How shall we go,on foot or by bus？我们怎么去，走路还是坐公交？
3者以上多个选项，用逗号隔开，最后2个用or连接 Who is your sister,Lily,Emily or Bella?Lily is my sister
None【3者或以上的否定】,Kate is my sister

另外一种句型一般疑问句+or=被选部分 Be型 Is she tall or short? She is tall
Do型 Does she have straight(hair) or curly hair? She has curly hair
