1. another表三者及以上中的“再一，另一个”，后接单数名词。 I'm glad to find another job.我很高兴找到另一份工作

拓展:another+数字+ n.=数字+more+n.意为"再;又;另外”   We need another two tables =We need two more tables 我们还需要两张桌子

2. other “别的，其它的、另外的”，它不能单独使用，后面必须要接可数名词的复数形式。作定语时,常与可数名词复数连用。Some other people disagree with him.其他一些人不同意他的意见。

3. the other (两者中的)另一个，也可以指三者及以上中剩下的最后一个。可独立用，也可在后面接上名词。修饰名词单数或单独使用.常用one...the other

He cuts the apple into two pieces. One is for himself; the other is for his brother他把苹果切成两块。一块给自己，另一块给他的弟弟

4. others  其他的人或事，作代词，后不能接名词。相当于other+名词复数  如句中前面出现some，后面通常会用others，Some…others…，可译成“有的…有的…    John is ready to help others.约翰乐于助人

5.the others   特指“别人；别的东西”，特指某一范围内其余的人或物”，作代词用，相当于 the other+名词复数，它后面不接名词。  Four of them are in the classroom,what about the others ?他们中的四人在教室,其他人呢?
