今天我们探讨一个英文谚语，类似中文里的“物以类聚”：

Birds of a feather flock together.                                                                                                           

谚语典故

此谚语可追溯至古希腊的一个类似用法 birds dwell with their kind（同类的鸟住在一起）。birds of a feather字面意思是“同一种羽毛的鸟”，即“同一种鸟类”，引申为“同一种人”；而 flock 指 “成群同行（飞）”。

这个谚语还有一个比较短的版本 birds of a feather，例如 Those two boys really are birds of a feather. (那两个男孩真的是臭味相投)，此用法多为贬义。

例句学习
