第五讲数词

基数词

 

基数词表示数量，如：one, two, three 等。

基数词的形式

基数词用法

hundred, thousand, million, billion使用秘籍：

1.hundred, thousand等数词，其前有具体的数字修饰，表示具体的数目时，用单数。如：

Two thousand ninety -one  people died in the earthquake.

（2191人在这次地震中丧生了。）

2.当hundred, thousand等与“of+复数名词”连用时，表示模糊的概念，这时hundred, thousand等要用复数形式。如：

Thousands of   students were volunteers of the Olympic Games.

（成千上万的学生是奥林匹克运动会的志愿者。）

序数词

序数词表示顺序，例如：first, second, third 等。

 

序数词的形式

序数词的用法

 

1.序数词前面一般加上 the，表示“第几”。

例如：

 

第一课 the first lesson=Lesson one;

第二章 the second chapter=Chapter Two

2.a/an +序数词，表示“又一，再一”。

 例句：

 

She has two children, and she gave birth to a third one yesterday.

（她有两个孩子，昨天又生了第三个孩子。）
