Dear All,
Thank you very much for all your support for my PCN challenge. The saga continues 这个故事还在继续中, I have to make further representations and it’s likely to end up in court 上法庭 in a few months’ time. I shall keep you posted.
On a happier note 换个高兴一点的话题, today is my son’s first day at school. Leonard will be 5 years old next week, and today is a very exciting day for him and his new class mates.
He attends a local primary school in central London. School opens its gate at 8:50, lesson starts about 9:15. In the afternoon, the students are collected by parents about 3:20pm. So the school day is relatively short.
This very junior class is called the Foundation Class, and in the class room (an area about 30 square meters), there are so many things to play with – a wooden kitchen, sand pits, water bath, lots of toys and picture books.
Leonard was in toy heaven, he dived straight into 直接冲向 the water bath area, making big splashes with boats and plastic floating toys.
There were really impressive technology in place as well, the children must register 登记 their presence and this is done throughan interactive blackboard 可以互动的黑板on the wall. Each child has their name associated with a picture and they have to move that picture into the register basket on screen. I will see if I can take a picture to show you next time.
The parents were ushered out 领出教室soon, to let the children get on with their first day at school. I am really looking forward to this evening and hear about Leonard’s story at school.
It’s time to pack up and go.
Be back soon.
Helen
