           这两个名词意义相近，常接介词to，但引申意义不同。

 名词access 的本意是“接近”、“进入”、“接近或进入的机会”，接介词to。常见结构是：  access to ;  gain /have access to 。可引申出“接触”、“获得”等意。

 

          1) The new system has been designed to give the users quick and easy access to the data bank.

 （新系统被设计得能使用户快速简便获得数据库的资料。）

  2) We live in a quiet area but have easy access to shops and schools.

 （我们生活在一个安静的地区，但是很容易到达商店和学校。）

  3) It is strictly regulated that access to confidential documents is denied to all but a few.

 　（严格规定，除了一小部分人外其他人都不能接触机密文件。）　

 

 

       名词approach   基本意思是“靠近”、“接近”、“临近”；也可表示“对待处理（问题）的方法”，常接介词to。

      

 1) The scout made a stealthy approach to the enemy position.

                （侦察员悄悄地接近了敌人的阵地。）

 2) With the approach of Christmas, the business in the downtown became busier with too many customers.

    （随着圣诞节的临近，市中心商业区一片繁忙，顾客盈门。）

             3）I am under the impression that the manager has a high opinion of your sober approach to the tough problem.

                （我得到这样印象：经理对你解决这一难题的高招赞赏有加。）

             4) Literacy programs instituted in different countries have taken and are taking different approaches to the problem.

                （不同国家开展的扫盲计划已经采取或正在采取不同的方法解决扫盲问题。）

 

           approach 可用作动词，意为“接近”、“即将到来”；也可表示“处理(问题等)”、“对付”、“看待”的意思。

 

            5) The cars slowed down as they approached the intersection.

              （汽车临近路口时速度慢了下来。）

            6) As people approach old age, their energy may diminish.

              （人们接近老年时，他们的精力会衰退。）

            7) When one gains a good insight into a problem, he will usually find a way to approach it or solve it.

              （当一个人能深入了解一个问题时，他通常你能找出解决这一问题的方法）

           8) The problem of alternative fuels of vehicle is one problem we shall approach immediately.

             （车辆的代用燃料问题是我们将要立即着手解决的一个问题。）
