STEP 2 学习文中出现的易错/亮点表达

1. queue = line  v.排队等候 n.队

    queue up = line up

e.g. Children clutching empty bowls form a queue. 
  抓着空碗的孩子们排成一队。

    jump the queue 插队，跳过队伍

2. keep sth on 介词做宾语补足语，表示宾语的状态

e.g.She likes to keep her lights on when sleeping.

  她喜欢开着灯睡觉。

 keep sb on 继续雇佣

e.g. They concluded that firing him would be more damaging than keeping him on. 
   他们得出结论，解雇他会比留用他的损害更大。

3. pavillion n.展馆，亭子，大帐

4. go much more smoothly 进展顺利， go 除了表示 “去……”之外，还有“进展”之意

e.g. She says everything is going smoothly. 
   她说一切进展顺利。
