One day down on the farm, Duck got a wild idea, 'I bet I could ride a bike!' he thought.
He waddled over to where the boy parked his bike, climbed on, and began to ride.
At first he rode very slowly, and he wobbled a lot, but it was fun!
一天，在农场上，鸭子突然有了一个主意，它想到“也许我可以骑自行车！”于是，它摇摇晃晃地走向一辆停在农场上的自行车前，然后开始骑了起来，他觉得好玩极了！
Duck rode past Cow and waved to her.
'Hello, Cow!' said Duck.
'M-o-o-o,' said Cow.
But what she thought was,'A duck on a bike? That's the silliest thing I've ever seen!'
鸭子路过奶牛，他们相互问好，但是在奶牛看来“鸭子在做一件世界上最愚蠢的事情”。
Then Duck rode past Sheep.
'Hello, Sheep!' said Duck.
'B-a-a-a,' said Sheep.
But what she thought was,'He's going to hurt himself if he's not careful!'
然后鸭子骑车跟绵羊问好，他们相互问好后，绵羊看着鸭子想着：哼，你一定会摔倒的。
Duck was riding better now.
He rode past Dog.
'Hello, Dog!' said Duck.
'Woof!'said Dog.
But what he thought was,'That is a mighty neat trick!'
鸭子又继续往前骑，它跟大黑狗问好道：你好呀？大黑狗回应道说：你好！但是，看着鸭子骑得挺好，它心里暗自想到：鸭子一定在耍花招！
Then Duck rode past Cat.
'Hello, Cat!' said Duck.
'Meow,' said Cat.
But what she thought was,'I wouldn't waste my time riding a bike!'
鸭子又继续往前骑着，他跟猫打招呼，猫懒懒地回应道：我才不会浪费我的时间骑车呢！
Duck pedaled a little faster.
He rode past Horse.
'Hello, Horse!' said Duck.
'Ne-e-e-igh!' said Horse.
But what he thought was ,'You're still not as fast as me, Duck!'
鸭子又路过了马，马愤愤不平地想：你再怎么快，也快不过我的！
Duck rang his bell as he rode toward Chicken.
'Hello, Chicken!' said Duck.
'Cluck! Cluck!'said Chicken.
But what she thought was,'Watch where you're going , Duck!'
鸭子继续和母鸡问好，母鸡想，看你能够骑到哪去？
Then Duck rode past Goat.
'Hello, Goat!' said Duck.
'M-a-a-a' said Goat.
But what he thought was,'I'd like to eat that bike!'
鸭子继续往前骑着，它和山羊打招呼，山羊正吃着垃圾桶里的果皮，它想，我可真想把你的车吃掉啊！
Duck stood on the seat and rode past Pig and Pig.
'Hello, Pigs!' said Duck.
'Oink,' said Pig and Pig.
But what they thought was,'Duck is such a show-off!'
鸭子继续骑车经过了两头猪 ，两头猪想：鸭子不就是在炫耀自己嘛？
Then Duck rode no-hands past Mouse.
'Hello, Mouse!' said Duck.
'Squeak,' said Mouse.
But what he thought was,'I wish I could ride a bike just like Duck.'
鸭子路过老鼠，这时鸭子已经能够空手骑车了，老鼠羡慕地想：要是我能像鸭子那样骑车该多好呀！
Suddenly, a whole bunch of kids came down the road on bikes.
They were in such a hurry that they didn't see Duck.
They parked their bikes by the house and went inside.
这时，一群孩子骑车冲了过来，由于他们太匆忙，没有发现鸭子！孩子们把车停在了房子边上就进屋去啦！
Now all the animals had bikes!
They rode around and around the barnyard.
'This is fun!' they all said.
'Good idea, Duck!'
现在，所有的动物都盯着这些自行车，他们每个都可以骑一辆，它们绕着农场骑呀骑呀，开心极了！他们都觉得好玩得不得了，这真是好主意啊！
Then they put the bikes back by the house.
And no one knew that on that afternoon, there had been a cow,a sheep, a dog, a cat, a horse, a chicken, a goat, two pigs, a mouse, and a duck on a bike.
骑累了过后，他们把车放在后院，就当这件事没发生过一样，在那个下午，永远都不会有人知道，那有一头牛，一只绵羊，一只狗，一只猫，一匹马，一只鸡，一头山羊，两只猪，一只老鼠，一只鸭子骑过自行车。
