美国某金融服务集团RPA案例分享

美国某金融服务集团,总部位于宾夕法尼亚州匹兹堡,主营个人和中小企业的金融服务业务。集团现有超50,000名员工,为美国19个州和华盛顿特区的600多万个人客户和中小企业客户,提供存款、贷款、现金管理和投资服务等零售银行服务。

十年前,该集团收购了某银行控股公司,并决定采用全企业的流程自动化服务。

而后,集团通过部署RPA,在银行的多个业务线(LOB)中实现了50个业务流程的自动化,制定了上百万个自动化业务规则,不断改进业务流程。

实施RPA后

1.RPA机器人代替人工手动操作枯燥重复的数据录入,提高了业务效率,缩短了业务处理时间。

2.部署RPA无需更改或升级银行内部现有的核心IT架构,而是以“外挂”的形式存在于应用程序外部。

3.RPA模块资源库里会预先设有常用的模块,员工直接调用即可,无需自己写编程。

4.RPA可提供业务流程管理功能,捕获有关流程指标,不断改进业务。

5.RPA使银行更易遵守金融法规,最大限度减少人为失误,提高合规流程的质量。

实施效果

该金融服务集团通过部署RPA,自动处理了大部分个人贷款流程。员工只需审查特殊贷款(仅占总贷款的10%~20%),省去了80%以上的人工审查工作。业务能力和效率大大提升,集团无需增加员工,即可处理大量业务。

An American Service Group whose headquarters located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is mainly engaged in financial services business for individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises. More than 50,000 employees in the group provides retail banking services such as deposit, loans, cash management and investment service, etc. for 6 million individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises customers in 19 states and Washington DC.

Ten years ago, the group purchased a bank holding company and determined to use RPA service for the whole company.

Then, by deploying RPA, the automation of 50 business processes in several lines of business of the bank has been realized. Millions of automated business rules are improving business processes.

Before deploying RPA

1. The group encodes the rules and strategies into the Java and Microsoft .NET programs, making them extremely difficult to modify.

2. Business departments should abide by laws and regulations of several territories which including the fields of financial, corporate banking and medical insurance, etc.

3. The staff has to review 100% of closed-end loans which cost much time and energy.

After deploying RPA

1. The manual boring and repetitive data entry has been replaced by RPA robots, which improved efficiency and shortened business processing time.

2. RPA deployment does not need to change or upgrade the existing core IT architecture within the bank. Instead, it exists outside the application in a non-intrusive form.

3. Staff can directly calls the regular pre-installed modules in RPA modules resources base. So they don’t need to write programs.

4. RPA will provide business process management function to capture relative process index and improve business continuously.

5. RPA makes it easier for banks to comply with financial regulations, minimize human error and improves the quality of compliance processes.

Deployment effects

By deploying RPA, the financial service group automates most process of individual loans. The staff needs only review special loans (only 10% to 20% of total loans). More than 80% of the manual review work has been saved. 

Then, the business ability and efficiency has been improved. The group can handle a lot of business without adding staff.
