上个月东京银座的BILLS餐厅人潮涌动，整个餐厅由著名设计工作室Meacham Nockles McQualter亲手打造，位于 “OkuraHouse”的最顶层。
Last month Billslaunched in Ginza, bringing the popular, all-day dining scene to Tokyo‘s mostelegant district. Designed by long term collaborators Meacham NocklesMcQualter, and located on the top floor of the brand new “Okura House”building, Bill Granger’s latest Tokyo restaurant has been created to reflectthe luxurious spirit of the thriving shopping neighbourhood.

Distinctive in itsdesign, the most recent Tokyo site displays an unparalleled elegance that is synonymouswith the much-loved Ginza district. As Bill explains, “We set out for the new Billsto be a place that makes you feel like you are spending time in a luxuriousjewellery box, where gold and colourful gems like sapphires and emeraldsglitter in the sun or in the restaurant’s lights in the evening and you arecossetted by velvet, leather, terrazzo, marble and mirror.”

Already a huge fan ofTokyo, Bill says, “I’ve always looked upon this location as somewhereparticularly special. Ginza is one of my favourite neighbourhoods as it’s a mixbetween the old and new. The bling and brashness of the big brands mixed withtiny independent artisans in the back streets, makes it an intoxicating placeto get lost in one of the world’s greatest cities. One of my team describedthis area of Tokyo as “New York on steroids” and I agree!”
