不定代词

不定代词具有名词特性和形容词特性。

注意neither与none的区别：

Neither of the two rooms has been used for more than two months.

这两个房间使用都没有超过两个月。

结构分析：Neither of the two rooms是主语，has been used是被动谓语，现在一般时，for more than two months是时间状语。

I took several kinds of medicine for cough, but none of them had any effect.

我吃了好几种咳嗽药，但都没有效果。

结构分析：I是主语，took是谓语，现在一般时，several kinds of medicine是宾语，for cough是状语, but是连接词，表示转折，none of them是主语，had是谓语，现在一般时，any effect是名词词组，作宾语。

None of the pupils knew the answer.

学生中谁都不知道答案。

结构分析：None of the pupils是主语，knew是谓语，现在一般时，the answer是名词词组，是宾语。

This route takes us too long. There must be another that is shorter.
