限定词（Determiner）是指冠词、物主代词、名词属格、指示代词、不定代词、数词等这一类词，用于名词前，对名词起特指或者泛指作用，或者表示定量或者不定量意义。有时一个名词可以同时被几个限定词修饰。
no修饰单复数可数名词和不可数名词，相当于not a或者not any。例如：No person here has ever heard of such a thing.Not a person here has ever heard of such a thing.结构分析：No person（或者Not a person）是主语，here是后置定语，has ever heard of是谓语，现在一般时，such a thing是名词词组，作宾语。I listened carefully, but could not hear no sound.I listened carefully, but could not hear a sound.结构分析：I是主语，listened carefully是谓语（carefully是状语，修饰谓语）, but是连接词，表示转折，could not hear是谓语，no sound(或者a sound)是宾语。There were no stars in the sky that night.There were not any stars in the sky that night.结构分析：There是表语，were是系动词，过去一般时，no stars(或者not any stars) 是主语， in the sky是地点状语，that night是时间状语。20220105作业：1. 句子成分、时态分析和翻译。no用于主语主补语前，表示后接词的反义，表示一种较强烈的感情色彩。例如：
He is no artist. (= He knows nothing about art.)
他对艺术一窍不通。
He is not an artist.
他不是艺术家。（说明事实）
