英语语法：整体词组加’s名词所有格用法

前面我们学习了英语语法: brains和things的用法、名词所有格’s的用法、-s或-es结尾的复数名词、词尾s发/z/的名词所有格用法

名词所有格

名词属格表示名词在句中与其他名词的关系，其中最常用的是所有关系。

1.名词属性的构成

（1）’s属格

4）作为一个整体的词组，一般放在最后一个词加’s。例如：

an hour and a half’s walk 一小时半的路

例句：It's more or less (about) an hour and a half’s walk from here.

离这儿大约有一小时半的步行路程。

结构分析：It是主语，is是系动词，more or less (about) an hour and a half’s walk from here是系表型谓语。

Carol and Charles’ boat卡洛和查尔斯共有的船

例句：Carol and Charles’ boat was overwhelmed by the waves.

卡洛和查尔斯共有的船被浪打翻了。

结构分析：Carol and Charles’ boat是主语，was overwhelmed是被动谓语，by the waves是主语补语。
