The Philippines and China signed an agreement to lift the restrictions on Filipino workers, the Philippine labor minister said."We are ready to admit 300,000 Filipinos to China for employment, including 100,000 English teachers. 

 A memorandum of understanding was signed between senior Philippine officials and Chinese ambassador to the Philippines Zhao Jianhua, adding that the monthly salary of Philippine teachers is 1,500 U.S. dollars.The agreement covers details of wage standards, related benefits, working hours, treatment and protection against abuse.  

The Chinese labor department is also recruiting Filipino cooks, carers, domestic helpers, musicians and nurses, he added.Chinese families can now provide a decent wage for them."There is a great demand for English teachers in China. Chinese citizens want their children to learn English. They lack enough English-speaking teachers. Families need English-speaking maids."They can teach children to learn.China's aging population is also increasing.He said that he will work in Beijing, Shanghai and other three major cities.
