“'图像诗’(Graphic Poems）有着悠久的历史，比如中国古代就有'宝塔诗’，而现代诗人很多也尝试这种形式，中国有个诗人叫'尹才干’，专门写图像诗，挺有意思。两者合流，出现'图片诗’也不令人惊讶。”（参见光诸翻译《你肯定想不到，我在马戏团里干什么》读首诗再睡觉，2016年12月12日）文中对“21世纪中国图像诗（图形诗）代言人”尹才干的图像诗对美国广大读者的影响给予了肯定。文章还说，“最近这种诗在美国很流行，《诗歌杂志》的网站（poetryfoundation）上突然冒出来很多首这种诗。”这说明图像诗这种诗歌艺术形式，很受美国读者欢迎和喜爱，并在中国诗人尹才干图像诗的基础上进行了新的探索创新，将诗歌语言与图片有机结合起来，构成“图片诗”。

"Graphic poems have a long history. For example, there were pagoda poems in ancient China, and many modern poets also tried this form. There is a Chinese poet named Yin Caigan, who specializes in writing image poems, which is very interesting. It is not surprising that the two merge and appear 'picture poems'." The article affirms the influence of Yin Caigan's image poem, the spokesman of "Chinese image poem (Graphic poem) in the 21st century", on American readers. "These poems have become very popular in the United States recently, and many of them have suddenly appeared on the Poetry Foundation website," the article said This shows that image poetry, a poetic art form, is very popular and loved by American readers. It has made new exploration and innovation on the basis of Chinese poet Yin Caigan's image poetry, and organically combined the poetic language with pictures to form "image poetry".

针对图像诗歌在美国流行的现象，中外的有关读者和研究人员还就以下问题展开了讨论：
