可是,把耳朵贴在地上这个诀窍已经成为一个俗语,在英文里也就是 to keep an ear to the ground。
To keep an ear to the ground,
例句-1:'Every two weeks while the Congress is in session, I try to get back home to California to talk to people. This doesn't give me much time to relax with my family, but I have to keep an ear to the ground and hear what voters are thinking about.'
2:'I try to keep an ear to the ground and what I hear these days is that most people think we spend too much money on building roads and not enough on our schools.'
1.Do you think Children should read newspaper?
Honestly, Most of Children they are teenagers that don’t have a good understanding of the on-going status of the world, Since newspapers are media that include plenty of currently events that happen domestically and globally, that would be a nice way for kids to keep an ear to the ground to get more attached.
2.why some language classes boring?
From my experience, Language should be a skill that base on ideas exchanging, some lessons which missing a part of communication between learners, are not be able to provide a chance for neither the teacher nor students to keep an ear to the ground to others’ thoughts, would definitely easily causing the lost of attention in the process.
