写在清明节的话 一篇拙作,欢迎批评指正!【英语原文】 With the Tomb Sweeping Day approaching,I would like to write something in honor of my grandmother. It has been more than 7 years since she passed away. The moment I take out her photos, the time we spent together can be recalled in my mind. Born in 1923, she grew up in a rich family. It is well known that old China was a fewdal society and girls didn’t have equal rights as boys in education and other human rights. However, she was so lucky that she was dressed like boys and sent to private schools to get a good education by my great grandmother. She worked hard and learnt many subjects such as Chinese, history and English. After graduation, she became a teacher and married to my grandfather, who had a good command and worked as the first dean in No.1 Middle school of Ningyuan. They had 5 children and my mother was the youngest one. She brought up 4 children under 18 by herself after my grandfather’s death. She was my first English teacher. I was taught some useful English expressions and Chinese idioms when I was young. On weekends, I always paid a visit to her. We cooked meals together and went to the downtown to relax after meals.I always shared something interesting which happed in my school with her.She was an optimistic woman. When she was suffering from disease, she said“Living, being old, sick and death are the regulations of all creatures.Never be sad no matter who leaves.”She was also a wise woman. When my parents quarreled or fought with each others, she agreed:“Both marriages and divorces are good events!”When I failed in College Entrance Examination, she encouraged me and told me never gave up.She is not only my grandmother, but also my friend and teacher.I miss her so much and hope her everything will go well in the heavens. With the Tomb Sweeping Day approaching,I would like to write something in honor of my grandmother. It has been more than 7 years since she passed away. The moment I take out her photos, the time we spent together can be recalled in my mind.
