In Front of the Door

我多么希望，有一个门口
早晨，阳光照在草上
How dearly to have a door as I wish
Tender light of the morning wakes up the grass
我们站着
扶着自己的门扇
门很低，但太阳是明亮的
Still stand we
Upon the doorway
Low as is the door, but the sunshines brightly
草在结它的种子
风在摇它的叶子
我们站着，不说话
就十分美好
The grass is breeding its weeds
The wind is waving its leaves
We just stand, in silence
How beautiful everything is
有门，不用开开
是我们的，就十分美好
Closed or open, the door stands
In beauty, since it belongs to us
早晨，黑夜还要流浪
我们把六弦琴交给他
我们不走了
我们需要土地
需要永不毁灭的土地
我们要乘着它
度过一生
In the morning, the dark night is still in exile
We give him the guitar
We stop travelling
We need a land
An indestructible land
To carry our life
And bury our soul
土地是粗糙的，有时狭隘
然而，它有历史
有一份天空，一份月亮
一份露水和早晨
The land is rough, sometimes narrow
But it has a history
A sky, a moon
A dewdrop as well as a morning
我们爱土地
我们站着
用木鞋挖着泥土
门也晒热了
我们轻轻靠着，十分美好
We love this land
We stand
Digging the soil with our sabots
The door is warming up in the sun
We lie on each other, everything is fine
墙后的草
不会再长大了
它只用指尖，触了触阳光
The grass hidden beside the wall
Will grow up no more
It touched the sunlight with its fingertip
后记：今天下午整理书籍，看到弟弟的女朋友送给弟弟的书。之前弟弟在北京和我住在一起，他去西安的时候，这本书忘记带走。顾城是我很喜欢的一位诗人，于是试着将大家耳熟能详的《门前》翻译成了英文。水平有限，多多指教！
