The Red Plant

红色的植物

Adam gave his mom a special plant. It had red leaves. But after a few months, the leaves  became green.

亚当给了他妈妈一种特殊的植物。它有红色的叶子。但是几个月后，叶子变绿了。

"How can we make the plant red again?" he asked.

“我们怎样才能让植物重新变红呢？”他问道。

"It takes some time, but it's easy," said his mom.

“这需要一些时间，但很容易，”他妈妈说。

During the day, they put the plant in sunlight.  At night, they covered it with a box. They did this for two months.

白天，他们把植物放在阳光下。到了晚上，他们用一个盒子盖住了它。他们这样做了两个月。

Soon, the plant was red again.

很快，植物又变红了。
