Do you want to drink something? 竟然不是“你想喝什么' ！

上周我们公司团建，去吃饭的时候，小八跟坐在旁边的外教说”Do you want to drink something? ”当时外教说brandy！我天，这么重口味吗……

然后酒上了，我才知道问外国人这句话其实就是等于问他要不要喝点（带有酒精成分）的东西~她们理解的也就是“要不要喝杯酒”。

在英文当中， a drink或者to drink是指含酒精的饮料。

eg：Do you want to drink something, wine or something？

要不要喝一杯,红酒还是别的？

那问别人要不要喝点东西的正确表达是什么呢？

√Would you like something to drink?

√Can I offer you something to drink?

drink在口语中代指了酒精饮料，但是drink加了s就是饮料了！等于soft drinks！

Drink in≠'喝下去'！

字面意思看起来是喝下去，但是实际的意思是吸收，被...深深吸引，陶醉。用的是引申的意思哦~~

eg：He stood still,drinking in the beautiful view.

他驻足不前，欣赏着美景。

Under the table≠在桌子底下

这句话也不能按照字面意思来理解哦~它指的是从桌子上面喝到下面去了，就是常说的'喝趴下了','喝倒了'。它还有一个意思指的是“秘密进行”，就是那些不能见人的东西啦~

eg：At sixteen he could drink me under the table. 

16岁的时候他就能把我灌醉了。

Drives me to drink≠让我喝

这个不是让我喝酒、趋势我喝酒甚至是开车带我去喝酒，它的意思是而是使人焦虑，让人心烦！喝酒真的是让人伤神啊~

eg：You  will drive me to drink!

你会让我烦死！

关于“喝酒”的一些表达：

1. How about a drink?

去喝一杯怎么样?

2. Two bottles of beer, please./Two beers, please.

请来两瓶啤酒。

3. What kind of snacks should we have?

要什么下酒菜呢?

4. I like to go barhopping.

我喜欢换酒馆喝。

5. Would you like a refill? (Would you like more? How about a refill? Would you like one more?)

再来一杯，怎么样?

6. This whiskey is strong.

这种威士忌挺冲。

7. I feel a little tipsy. (I'm slightly drunk.)

我觉得有点儿醉了。

8. I'm loaded. (I'm wasted.)

我喝得酩酊大醉。

9. Drink moderately. (Don't overdo it. Please don't drink too much.)

喝酒要适可而止。

10. I get drunk easily. (I get drunk quickly.)

我的酒量小。

While it's true that light can damage your eyes under certain circumstances, there's no scientific evidence suggesting that blue light is harmful to our eyes. But many people still think it is, which is why blue light-blocking glasses are so popular.

蓝光是一种波长非常短、能量巨大的电磁辐射。虽然在某些情况下光线确实会损伤我们的眼睛，但是目前并没有科学证据表明蓝光对我们的眼睛有害。不过许多人仍然认为蓝光确实有害，这就是防蓝光眼镜如此受欢迎的原因。

'Everyone is very concerned that (blue light) may be causing damage to the eye, and it's a valid concern, but there's no evidence it may be causing any irreversible damage,' Dr. Rahul Khurana, clinical spokesman for the American Academy of Ophthalmologists, told Business Insider.

美国眼科学会临床发言人拉胡尔·库拉纳博士对商业内幕网表示：“每个人都非常担心蓝光可能会对眼睛造成损害，这种担忧是合理的，但是目前还没有证据表明蓝光可能会对眼睛造成任何不可逆转的损伤”。

Blue light exposure is nothing new. In fact, the sun is the largest source of blue light. Moreover, blue light is also present in fluorescent and LED light.

蓝光照射并不罕见。事实上，太阳就是蓝光最大的来源。此外，蓝光也存在于荧光灯和LED灯中。
