三、形容词性物主代词用法
1、形容词性物主代词起形容词作用，用于修饰其后面的名词，其后须有名词。
My father is tall. 我的父亲长的高。
I don't like your shoes. 我不喜欢你的鞋子。
His house is big. 他的房子大。
Our mother is watching TV. 我们的妈妈在看电视。
They borrow their books from the library. 他们的书是从图书馆借的。
2、形容词性物主代词可修饰作名词用的动名词
I appreciate your coming so early. 我感激你能如此早来。
I don't likehis arriving late. 我不喜欢他迟到。
Their yelling made Andrew uncomfortable. 他们大声嚷嚷让安德鲁不自在。

四、名词性物主代词用法
1、名词性物主代词本身作名词用，不可后跟名词
形容词性物主代词 + 名词 = 名词性物主代词
举例：
This is my car. This is mine. my car = mine
This is your car. This is yours.your car = yours
This is his car. This is his.his car = his
This is her car. This is hers.her car = hers
This is their car. This is theirs.their car=theirs
2、可作主语
My mother gives us apples.Mine is the big one. 我母亲给我们苹果。我的是大的。(Mine =My apple)
I want to use your pencil. Yours works better.我要用你的铅笔。你的比我的好用。(Yours=Your pencil)
All the paintings were good but his was the best. 所有的画都好，但他的最好。(his= his painting)
His flowers are dying. Hers are lovely. 他的花要枯萎了。她的好看。(Hers= Her flowers)
Your dresses are beautiful.Ours are ugly. 你们的裙子好看。我们的难看。(Ours=Our dresses)
She is not Joe and Ann's child. Theirs has blonde hair. 她不是乔和安的孩子。他们的孩子是金发的。(Theirs =Their child)
3、可作表语
The yellow house ismine. 黄色的屋子是我的。
My life is yours.我的命是你的。
Their problems may becomeours. 他们的问题可能会变成我们的问题。
五、可作动词或介词宾语
作动词宾语：
I like your watch. Do you like mine? 我喜欢你的表。你喜欢我的表吗?
I found my key but I couldn't findyours.我找到了我的钥匙，但没找到你的钥匙。
Joe loves his cat as much as she loves hers. 乔和她一样爱自己的猫。
You may use our computers. We will use theirs. 你们可以用我们的电脑。我们用他们的。
作介词宾语：
A friend of mineis coming for a visit. 我的一个朋友要来拜访我。
I want to study in my room, not in hers. 我要在我的房间里学习，而不是在她的房间。
Does my haircut look like his? 我的发型和他的像吗?(like在此是介词，指“像”。)
Don't stay at their house, stay at ours. 别住他们家，住我们家吧。
