暴风雨快来啦！风儿在呼喊雨点儿出来玩耍呢，雷声也在和闪电赛跑呢，外面又湿又冷，花栗鼠挤成一团躲到了地洞里，鸟宝宝们躲到了鸟妈妈的翅膀下面......一起来聆听今晚的睡前故事吧！

What's that I hear?
这是什么声音？
It's only the wind in the tree tops, my dear.
亲爱的，这就是风吹过树顶的声音啊。
Why does it whistle?
为什么有呼啸声？
A storm's on its way. The wind calls the raindrops to come out and play.
暴风雨就要来了。风儿在呼喊雨点儿出来玩耍呢。
They come when the wind calls?
风儿叫它们，它们就会来吗？
They burst from the cloud, skipping and leaping and laughing out loud. They spin and they tumble. They bounce on the breeze. They dance to the tune of the wind in the trees.
它们从云中来，蹦蹦跳跳，大声笑着。它们转圈，翻跟头，在微风中弹跳。它们伴随着穿梭在树林中的风儿翩翩起舞。
Mama?
妈妈？
Yes, Buttercup?
嗯，芭特卡普怎么了？
What's that I hear?
这是什么声音？
That's just the rumble of thunder, my dear.
亲爱的，那是雷声隆隆作响。
It's too loud! I'm afraid!
好大的声音，我好害怕！
Oh, it's only a sound. Thunder stomps. Thunder stumbles and bumbles around.
噢，这只是一个声音。雷在跺脚的声音。雷跌跌撞撞的声音。
What is it doing?
这是在做什么？
It's racing up high, chasing the lightning all over the sky.
这是在天空中和闪电赛跑。
But lightning's too tricky. It starts and it stops.

It flashes and dashes between the raindrops.
它在雨点儿间发光冲撞。
What will the turtles do?
那乌龟会怎么办呢？
Oh, don't you fret. Turtles like being outside when it's wet.
噢，别着急。乌龟很喜欢在潮湿的地方。
Like ducks?
像鸭子一样？
Yes! Ducks paddle in water all day. Puddles are ducks' favorite places to play.
是！鸭子整体都在水里游来游去。船桨划过留下的小漩涡是小鸭子们最喜欢玩耍的地方。
What about chipmunks?
那花栗鼠呢？
They snuggle together, deep in their burrows in wet, windy weather.
在潮湿多风的天气里，它们会在深深的地洞里紧紧抱在一起。
And birds? Where do birds go?
那么鸟儿呢？它们去哪儿呢？
Beneath Mama's wings. When rains fall and winds blow, the mama bird sings, 'Hush, little chickadees. Never you fear. There, there. You're safe now, and I am right here.'
他们会躲在妈妈的翅膀下面。刮风下雨的时候，鸟妈妈会唱：“快点儿，宝贝们，不要害怕，你们很安全，妈妈就在这儿。”
We're comfy inside.
我们在家里也很舒服。
Yes, we'll stay dry and warm, cozy together here out of the storm. Tomorrow the sun will shine. Then we'll play, we'll splash in the pond like the ducks do all day. But for now, let's just watch. It's a wonder to see. I am so glad I have you to share it with me.
是的，我们远离暴风雨，舒适、温暖、安逸。明天太阳会照常升起。我们就可以像鸭子一样到池塘去玩水。但是现在，我们就待在家里吧，看看这场暴风雨。我很高兴，这个时刻我们能一起分享。
So come, darling Buttercup, here where it's warm. Like chickadee babies, we're safe from the storm. While winds blow and rains fall, we'll wait out the weather.
