英语里“没了”用 There be 句式吗？

英语里‘没了’想要表达的意思是用完了，耗尽了，这个时候用There isn't any ...或there aren't any ...就显得比较生硬。那么表达用完了，没有了，更地道的说法需要用到一个词组，那就是run out (of)。

run out 意思是 to finish, use, or sell all of something, so that there is none left 用完；耗尽；卖光。

比如

I've run out of milk / money / ideas / patience. 我的奶喝完了／我的钱花光了／我黔驴技穷了／我失去耐心了。

'Do you have any milk?' 'Sorry, I've run out.'“你有牛奶吗？”“对不起，我都喝完了。”

除了用完了某个东西run out of sth，run out还可以用物来做主语，表示某个东西被用完了，或耗没了。也就是 If a supply of something runs out, all of it has been used or it is completely finished。被耗尽；被用完。

The milk has run out. 牛奶喝完了。

My patience is beginning to run out. 我开始不耐烦了。

如果说证件到期期满了，也就是原有的时间不多了，也可以用run out。If a document or official agreement runs out, the period of time for which it lasts finishes. （证件或协议）到期，期满

比如

My passport runs out next month - I must get it renewed. 我的护照下个月就到期了——我得去办理延期手续。

如果表达时间越来越紧迫；（完成某事）剩下的时间不多了也可以用time is running out这个短语，used to say that there is not much time left in which to achieve something。

比如

Time is running out for the men trapped under the rubble. 对于被压在瓦砾之下的人们来说，时间不多了。
