英语语法：短语stand out，stand up for的用法​

动词短语是由动词和介词、副词、名词等构成的，在句中作谓语。

313.stand out引人注目

用法：stand out在句中作单独谓语，可以用介词from引出具体对象，也可以表示“伸出，突出，坚持抵抗”。

例句：The man in yellow hat stood out in the crowd.

那个戴着黄色帽子的男士在人群中很是引人注目。

结构分析：The man in yellow hat是主语（the是前置定语，in yellow hat是介词词组作后置定语，修饰前面的man）， stood out是谓语，in the crowd是状语。

314.stand up for支持，拥护

用法：stand up for后的宾语可以是人，也可以是物。

例句：In that country, no one stands up for the tyrannical monarch.

在那个国家，没人支持那个残暴的君主。

315.stretch out伸手拿，伸出

用法：stretch out一般接名词作宾语。

例句：The driver reminded the passengers not to stretch out their heads.

司机提醒乘客不要把头伸出去。

316.sum up总结

用法：sum up。多用于主动语态，很少用于被动语态。

例句：Finally,the speaker summed up the contents of the meeting.

最后，发言人总结了会议内容。
