01、“rape flower”是什么意思？

油菜花在国际上的通用翻译是：rape flower！但是现在很少有国家会使用它来代表油菜花。为什么会出现这种情况呢？因为rape作为动词有强暴、强奸、掠夺的意思，所以很多外国人觉得用rape这个词汇有点怪怪的不好意思。

英国人就用oilseed rape表示，美国和加拿大人就改用canola flowers.

你也许会想到Sakura 这个词，首先这是“日本樱花”的叫法，日本人非常喜欢樱花，所以日语音译的sakura很有名，便成为樱花的说法之一。

世界各国都有樱花所以从广义角度来说，“樱花”最普遍的说法并不是Sakura，而是cherry blossom [ˈblɑsəm]注意，千万别直译成：cherry flower

“玫瑰花”英语怎么说？

可能大家最熟悉的应该就是“玫瑰”的英文表达了，它的英文是：Rose。一些小伙伴的英文名也许就是“Rose”，巧的是《泰坦尼克号》女主就是“Rose”.
