SINGAPORE, May 30 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung is scheduled to be here in Singapore for a two-day visit from Friday to Saturday, the city-state's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Thursday.
He is invited to deliver the keynote address at the 12th International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) Shangri-La Dialogue here, an annual forum attended by defense ministers and security experts from across the Asia-Pacific region.
The ministry also said Dung's visit will be "a highlight in a series of events commemorating the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Singapore and Vietnam."
Besides, the Vietnamese PM will call on Singapore's President Tony Tan Keng Yam and Prime Minister Lee on Friday, while on Saturday, he is scheduled to attend a breakfast meeting with representatives from Singapore companies with key business interests in Vietnam.
