在这首诗的英文版里面，诗人用[aɪ]音来作为句尾的押韵。句子的用句很多短，但是每句话都表明了特有的形象的动作。例如第一句，Very quietly I take my leave，此句用take这个动词和后面的宾语my leave表明一个很鲜明的动作，对比I leave显得更为生动活泼。
